Awards
The KCCE Excellence Awards were created to recognize superior achievement and professional excellence among local chambers in the state. Awards are given in the following categories:
Communications: Chamber communication programs position your organization as an information and community resource, providing access to and information about your chamber’s programs, services and staff. Recognition is given for e-news, special publications, websites, and social media.
Membership: Recognition is given for Outstanding Membership Retention and Outstanding Membership Growth
Special Event: The event must be managed/produced by the chamber and submissions include: marketing materials, photos, attendance for the event, comments from participants and budget. Recognition is given for Outstanding Special Event.
Volunteer of the Year: What are we without our volunteers? This new award will allow local chambers to reward that great person in their community with a giving heart. This person is a role model in the community and a great ambassador for the chamber.
Staff Member of the Year: This new award recognizes the chamber staff professional who has gone above and beyond in their capacity to make their chamber the best version of itself. This person is a leader amongst their colleagues.
Executive of the Year: Considered the highlight of the awards program, this award recognizes a chamber professional who has made outstanding contributions and excelled in directing the future of their chamber and community. Areas of consideration are outstanding achievements; effectiveness in addressing challenges; professionalism; program development and implementation; fiscal management; and participation in the community, which includes civic, charitable, educational and other activities.
